My ‘Karaoke’ Experience At Castle House Party

What do you prefer- a castle or a hotel, for throwing birthday bash? Remember! There would hit your all near and dear ones for seeking every fun of house party. Hotels are ‘ok’ for spending few moments together but castles are unbeatable if you talk about living precious intimate moments with your loved ones.

Scottish house party at castle sounds tickling because a castle can give you the cushion of royal touch inside with the perfect fusion of elegant landscapes in its surrounding. Last month, I underwent this beautiful feeling at house party in Craigrownie Castle. I was just an invitee there but felt as if I was a host. My tongues did not stop sending words of praise to the servicemen of the castle when I took off.

When my cousin’s call for the party in the castle came to me I was not at all interested for being its part. I am interested in hens’ night out for and sneaking in exclusive stag parties in Scotland. But the longing to have date with the royal place landed me there. And believe me! I was dumbstruck at the sight of its unprecedented beauty. While walking through the lush green garden, I paved in the splendid castle. My blinking eyes were telling how much amazed I was. The word ‘awesome’ sounds meager for complimenting its splendor and grandeur.

Anyhow, let me disclose what took away my heart indeed. Eyes of all onlookers stuck to the festoon of roses and leaves on caramel cake. The way it was decorated was enough to pop up everyone’s eyes.  But the most stunning was ‘Karaoke’. My feet were frozen when my name was announced to sing. I was like ‘WHAT, Am I supposed to sing!’ Everybody knew there that I am very shy. But I had to fulfill the wish of the birthday girl. So, I had to call an amateur singer in me at rented out exclusive castle.

Holding mike, I was on the stage. My feet were trembling and stage-phobia was tightening its claws in me. Thundering claps of the spectators filled me with some courage. All gazing eyes made me reluctant to sing at first. But mustering courage, I matched my voice with the melodious music. Sooner, the crowd began to sway and sing with me. Waiving and clapping hands made me realized as if I was a ‘Rock Star’ of the night. The fear was gone astoundingly. Was it a magic? Perhaps, it’s the intimacy of the castle that boosted me to take way hearts of all. Since then, I have been enjoying the star kind of status at every party of my family or pals.
